Senior Windows & VMware Administrator
We are seeking a short term casual contract role for a Senior Virtualization Specialist with both Microsoft and Cisco Experience.
Location = Mississauga
Length of Contract = ~2 months
Hours per week = ~20 hours / week
- ~2 Month Project
- Solid VMware VCenter Virtual SAN setup and configuration knowledge
- Cisco switch and routing experience
- Windows Server Experience
System Build
The contract will entail the setup and configuration of a High Availability VMware Virtual SAN 3 Node Cluster along with the required Cisco switching setup to include IP number addressing and VLAN setup. Several Windows Domain based virtual servers will be built on the platform with a Windows PC based client setup.
Testing and Documentation Procedures
The candidate will be required to document all processes for setting up the cluster, along with demonstrating and simulating node failure and replacement, virtual machine real-time failover and failback procedures and to document this process through the duration of the contract.
A visit to the client site to demonstrate these procedures in a pre-production working environment is also a requirement.
Due to the sensitivity of the project a full and complete Government level background check will be enforced on any potential candidates.
- VMware Certified or at least 5 years working experience with VMWare, VCenter.
- CCNA Certified or at least 5 years of production working experience with Cisco switching networks.
- MCSA/MCSE or at least 5 years working experience on Windows Server Platform implementing Active Directory and restrictive Group Policies.
