IT Event Support Coordinator [Part Time / Casual]

Hours: Main Shift: [3pm – 11pm] and/or Alternate Shift [7am – 3pm]
POSITION OVERVIEW
Our Client is seeking an experienced IT Support Coordinator. You will be part of the Events Technology team supporting the revenue-generating streams such as Food & Beverage and Retail, in addition to media members, tour staff and/or teams’ personnel. The team coordinates efforts with various groups (i.e. Network, Venue Technology, Sys. Admin, applications teams as well as 3rd party contractors) in order to fulfill and deliver IT requirements identified and requested. You will be working in a fast-paced, event-driven environment, ensuring our IT services are fully functioning and operational during a variety of events at Scotiabank Arena, BMO Field and Coca-Cola Coliseum.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide baseline I.T. systems support during Events

- Coordinate with Event Manager/Building Ops/ Other functional areas of IT on resolving technology related issues
- Manage issues through troubleshooting, coordination and resolution
- Log and report IT issues in post-event report
- Assist with management of IP telephony system for events.
- Support preparations for events
- Facilitate Load In/Load Out for Games/Concerts/Special Events
- Assist in identifying, documenting and coordinating IT requirements for events
- Provide first-class customer support for News Media in venue during events
- Support IT related to Food & Beverage operations
- Provide direct support and management of POS equipment including terminals, tablets, printers and pin pads at stands and restaurants in the venues.
- Coordinate with 3rd party support for POS support
- Troubleshoot systems and applications
- Support IT-related retail operations
- Provide direct support and management of retail POS equipment at both kiosks and main shop at the Scotiabank Arena
- Troubleshoot systems and applications
- Meet defined SLA’s where applicable
REQUIREMENTS
- Experience in setting up and tearing down temporary IT infrastructure in a quick but meticulous manner.
- Previous experience managing technology for Events
- Experience administering and supporting Wireless Networks an asset
- Experience with configuring client-side wireless configurations – a high degree of knowledge supporting Windows 10, Windows 7 and Mac OS.
- Basic knowledge of networking concepts including LAN/WAN infrastructure and TCP/IP routing, DNS, SNMP and DHCP.
- Proficiency in the following areas will be considered an asset:
- Micros POS
- KDS Technologies
- Eatec
- Universal Desktop
- Great Plains
- Citrix
- Excellent verbal communication skills with the ability to explain IT in a “jargon-free” manner and a demonstrated ability to create technical documentation.
